This small project, which was started during the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike, when traditional TV production had come to a complete stop, grew into something much larger: a demonstration that clever, independent storytelling could succeed outside of the typical channels.

The narrative centers on Billy Buddy, a kind inventor who aspires to become a member of the Evil League of Evil under the guise of Dr.. He harbors feelings for Penny, the compassionate woman he meets at the laundromat, and struggles with Captain Hammer, the arrogant hero who targets everything, including Penny.
